Annual Reporting to the Community

The Chatham-Savannah Youth Futures Authority (YFA) has been legislated to use its collaborative framework to improve the quality of life for the children, youth, and families that reside in Chatham County, Georgia. This has been achieved through advocacy, studying policy, and reporting. The YFA has diligently provided these to our community for over twenty years. Collaboration and partner agency commitments have sustained the Authority since its inception in 1988, and continue to serve as critical components in the Authority’s structure, thereby laying the foundation for policy and system change that can foster more positive outcomes for our community.

Annual reporting to the Chatham County community on the condition of children, youth, and families is accomplished through several methods. The annual status report serves as one of these methods. These status reports are not only a testament to true collaboration, but also allow the entire community to closely examine key indicators that affect the preparedness of our children, youth, and families to thrive and succeed in life.

The Authority is proud to continue publishing these reports to the Chatham-Savannah community. We have embarked on a new direction to ensure that more measurable outcomes and accountability are monitored in the work of community agencies and institutions that directly impacts children and families. We hope that these status reports will not only educate you, but increase your awareness of the local conditions and encourage you to join the efforts to become advocates for our children, youth, and families.
